Contacts and export
View people who shared name, email, or phone in lead capture. Search, filter, and download CSV or Excel of the current filters on every plan.
Contacts lists people who shared name, email, or phone through your lead capture flows. Same person across automations appears once.
In the Shopify app this page is called Customers, and Contact detail is Customer detail.
Collecting those fields in the DM needs Growth or higher. Viewing and export work on every plan, including Free. Contacts are unlimited. We do not charge by list size.
Open Contacts
Empty: No contacts yet. When someone completes lead capture on an automation, they show up here once per Instagram user.
Table: Contact, Email, Phone, Last seen, Captures. Page size: 25.
Click a row for Contact detail. Facts: Email, Phone, First seen, Last seen, Captures with a count. Missing values: Not collected.
Search and filters
Turn on Name, Email, or Phone on the automation first, or this list stays empty. See How the DM runs and who gets it.
Tags and the inbox (paid plans)
On paid plans, each contact shows its inbox tags, and a Tag filter appears next to the other filters once you have tags. In Contact detail, choose Tag to add or remove tags, or create a new one. Open in inbox jumps to that person's conversation. Exports include a Tags column. See Inbox.
Check this answer
With the Lead answer check on (see AI checks), a name, email, or phone that does not look real gets Check this answer next to it, in the table and in Contact detail. On a phone the card says Check this answer, or Check these answers when more than one is flagged.
- Hover, focus, or tap it to see why, like Not a real email, The email may have a typo, Not a real phone number, or Not a real name.
- It never changes the answer and nobody is asked again. Check it yourself before you use it.
- The mark goes away when that answer changes. Turning the check off removes every mark.
Export the current filters
Export always uses the search box and filters you have selected now, not the full unfiltered list.
Toasts: CSV download started for the current filters. or Excel download started for the current filters.
Files: contacts-YYYY-MM-DD.csv or .xlsx.
If the filtered list is empty, Export stays off. Hint: No contacts to export for the current filters.
Lead collection in chat is Growth, Pro, or Scale. If you are on Basic, you can still open Contacts and export rows you already have. You cannot turn on Name, Email, or Phone on new automations until you upgrade.
