Comment to DM, explained

When someone comments a keyword on your post or Reel, Instagram comment-to-DM automation sends a private reply. Send Link To Me runs that flow on official Meta APIs so fans get your link in Direct instead of hunting link in bio.

The flow

Comment in. DM out.

Instagram comment-to-DM automation turns a keyword into a private reply through official Meta APIs, without sending fans to link in bio first.

01

Someone comments

A fan drops your keyword on a post or Reel while interest is still high.

02

Your rule matches

Top-level comments are checked against your keyword. Nested replies stay skipped.

03

Private reply lands

They get your template in Direct, so the follow and the chat stay on Instagram.

What to know before you ship

Keywords, why Direct beats link in bio, and the Meta limits every automation still follows.

How keyword triggers work

You pick a post or Reel, choose a keyword such as LINK or FOLLOW, and attach a DM template. When a top-level comment matches, Send Link To Me sends a private reply. Nested replies are skipped.

Why not only link in bio

Sending fans off Instagram cools the moment. A private reply keeps attention in chat while they are still watching the Reel, so the follow and the conversation stay warm.

Meta limits to know

About one private reply per comment, a limited reply window after the comment, and hourly messaging caps. Send Link To Me queues and retries within those rules.

Private replies still follow Instagram caps

About one private reply per comment, a limited reply window, and about 750 messaging actions per hour per account. Near the hourly cap, we queue and retry. Meta usage policy · FAQ
